Salewa Aderonmu is an information technology and cybersecurity professional with more than a decade of experience in cybersecurity, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), enterprise systems, vulnerability management, IT audit, and technology risk. His background spans higher education, defense and aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare, and enterprise technology environments. His experience encompasses systems and network administration, enterprise applications, cybersecurity governance, and security assurance.

As a Senior Information Security Solution Analyst at Towson University, Salewa focuses on cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance, security assessments, and information assurance. His work includes evaluating cybersecurity risks, reviewing third-party assurance reports, validating security controls, advising on compensating controls, assessing technology architectures, and supporting institutional security and audit initiatives.

His doctoral research focuses on cybersecurity and Internet of Things (IoT) security, including power-consumption-based IoT botnet detection, intrusion detection, Zero Trust security at the edge, federated learning, and trust-based approaches for detecting malicious or anomalous behavior in distributed IoT environments.
